Yoga and Stress Reduction for Health Care Professionals

Please join Jennifer for a two-hour workshop that focusses on introducing different styles of yoga and mindfulness that can help ease work related stressors, such as burnout, that front-line providers commonly experience. In the first hour, you will receive an overview of the how yoga and mindfulness can be used to increase self-awareness and emotional regulation through balancing the spinal curves for long periods of standing, addressing lower back pain through restorative yoga, exploring how to sustain a strong pelvic floor and nourish the body through pranayama breath. The second hour will include a full restorative yoga practice, which will leave you in a state of ease by bringing the body into a rest-and-digest state, which we often do not get to experience in stressful times. Although this workshop is designed for healthcare professionals, anyone is welcome and encouraged to join us for this workshop of self-care.
