What is Ayurveda?
Ayurvedic medicine is a holistic approach to preventative health that uses diet, herbs, lifestyle and yoga as medicine. While just as evolved as Western medicine, it approaches health as an individual's responsibility, one that requires self-study, self- awareness and self-appreciation. Health and disease are a reflection of the balanced or imbalanced states of the five elements, of which we are all uniquely created and can use to manipulate our experience of the world.
What will you learn?
Through this incredible weekend with Caitlin Rose, she will lay a strong and clear foundation of what Ayurveda is and how you can begin to approach and incorporate it into your daily life!
Saturday you’ll discuss the five elements and how they can be experienced in everything we do, eat, feel and experience, as well as the three doshas, and our unique combination of the elements and doshas.
Sunday we’ll learn how to apply it to your life and how we can begin to live Ayurvedically! You’ll apply what you’ve learned to seasonal routines, diets and lifestyles.
This will be a weekend of community, self-care and deep understanding of individuality and our relationship with nature. This weekend is for anyone, and everyone.
About Caitlin Rose:
Caitlin has been studying and practicing Ayurveda for the last seven years. While studying medicine in college, Ayurveda captured her attention and opened the door to a deeper understanding of disease, happiness and relationship with the world around her, eventually leading Caitlin to a non-traditional path of study.
Caitlin immersed herself in Yoga and Ayurvedic studies, concluding in thousands of hours of education, a years time in Asia studying under Ayurvedic doctors as well as the Jois Lineage of yoga asana. After returning to the states, Caitlin has returned to her formal education in Western medicine and recognizes the irreplaceable value of having a foundation in Ayurvedic medicine.
Caitlin is a teacher at heart, and has spent the last several years leading many to deeper understandings of yoga and Ayurvedic medicine. She looks forward to the opportunity to help others ease into a life of understanding through holistic health and wellbeing!
